| WHO SAID IT IS THE SMART PEOPLE WHO ALWAYS STUDY AND WORK HARD WHO END UP WITH THE BEST JOBS?
T.J. Dennis (formally known as Tammy Bryant and the daughter of Kevin Bloody Wilson) is a singer with attitude and tells her story of Carine life as she knew it.
.`ONE OF THE BOYS' AND NEVER A FAVOURED STUDENT
Tammy grew up as most of us do, with enough freedom to know her boundaries. She was very close to her older brother and liked to think of herself as `one of the boys'. She is still very proud of her brother and he is a member of her band

| At school Tammy was never a favoured student and she was given no special privileges. She lived life as a `bad girl', with her singing career secretly taking place behind the scenes.
Her worst memory of high school was the first time she was called up to the Deputy's office. Her stomach dropped as she heard her name called out over the P.A. the Deputy Principal then became her worst enemy.
TAMMY BRYANT TO MY OFFICE...NOW!
Tammy's face became very familiar at the Front Office for taking part in various `crimes'. On one occasion she was caught hanging out of the window of a passing car, yelling obscenities at the nearby staffroom. More often than not though, it was general everyday misbehaviour that landed her in trouble. Tammy's best memories of Carine were of Year 12. Although she was hardly ever at school and never did her homework, Tammy managed to graduate. (How times must have changed! We could never get away with that now...)

| Tammy still catches up with her friends from Carine when she is back in Perth.
`MEMORIES'
On returning to Carine after nine years Tammy was greeted by many teachers who remembered her shining performances at various school functions - the School Ball and Graduation Night. One particular song seemed to stick in everyone's mind Memories, which brought many people to tears.

T.J. DENNIS TAKES OFF
Nowadays T.J. Dennis has a great career taking off as a country rock singer. She admits that there are no real messages behind her songs, but she concentrates on making her music fun and memorable.
We would like to wish Tammy all the best in her career. Let this former Carine student remind us that if we know our boundaries and strive for what we want, we can achieve our goals.
