DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY OVERVIEW

Photo by Luke Cridland Yr12 2010

This subject area aims to develop student’s understanding and skills in Digital Photography,

Graphic and Visual Design.  The design skills themselves are a major part of this course and as they are developed they are applied to a variety of photographic projects. Many camera skills and techniques are developed along the way. The equipment and software are to an industry standard as is our state of the art digital photography centre.  This subject area suits students who wish to pursue a career in this area as well as students who see photography as a personal interest that

they want to develop.

Carine Senior High School prides itself on very high standards in both the written (design) and practical elements of this subject and this is shown by the many competitions wins and awards that our students have achieved so far.
Carine SHS has had around 30 prize winners in 5 years in the Chevron Focus-Environment photo comp plus at least 20 prizes in various other competitions.
