Art Overview
"It Is the Process That Leads to Quality Work"
Some absolutely fabulous artwork has been produced at Carine over the last few years and students have benefited from programmes that are concept initiated, to allow broad and individual responses.
As with any form of quality construction, students are becoming aware of the importance of even balance within all aspects of the art curriculum:
- Arts ideas
- Arts skills and processes
- Arts responses
- Arts in society
"Communication with others strengthens Creativity and Understanding"
The best ideas are usually the ones that come from careful development. Students inquire through research into other artists' practices, discuss their directions with staff and build on the creative process through consultation with their peers.
"Self evaluation is an important part of Design, Development and Studio Work"
Pride in themselves, appreciation for other students' works and the ability to work through a problem are the best attributes of an Art student at Carine Senior High.
