Digital Technologies offers a range of computing and business subjects throughout years 7 to 12 which provides students with practical opportunities to use design thinking and to be innovative developers of digital solutions and knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to develop creative and functional skills through animations, website and business design, coding and financial literacy skills.
The range of programs that the students will have access to are: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Flash, IMovie, online web developing and coding programs.
Students will have access to range of equipment and platforms including desktop computers, Macbooks and Ipad’s.
In Year 11 and 12 students have the opportunity to study certificate courses:
- Certificate II in Business
- Certificate III in Business
- Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technologies.
Students have access to the features of a modern office, computer rebuilding, online virtual environments for setting up networks, diagnostics and troubleshooting IT scenarios.
We are also in the development stage of new programs to incorporate new skills such as computational and systems thinking with Robotic Lego systems.
